The city will start flushing hydrants to make sure they are functioning properly and to maintain water quality.
Flushing may cause red or cloudy water, try not to do laundry on flushing day. Once flushing has been completed, water from your faucets may run brown or dirty looking water; just open your cold water faucets and let them run a few minutes to flush out the impurities.
